William Karlsson and his wife have welcomed their first child

That's because they became parents after Ferguson gave birth to a baby boy named Beckham Carlson.

Golden Knights head coach Bruce Cassidy said Carlson left the skate Friday morning to get more rest and spend time with his family.

Cassidy said he expects Carlson to be in the lineup Friday night when the Knights face the Edmonton Oilers in Game 5 of the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
