Avatar 3: All We Know So Far

Following the release of Avatar: The Way of Water by two years,

Disney has scheduled the release of Avatar 3 for December 20, 2024.

James Cameron will helm the threequel,

which will be followed by Avatar 4 in December 2026 and Avatar 5 in December 2028.

All of the films in the Avatar franchise will be directed by Cameron.

A star in the film, Zoe Saldaa,

recently stated that they are "70%" done with the movie and that they would be returning to the set this summer to finish it.

It is anticipated that shooting on Avatar 3 will continue well into the year 2024,

and the film's lead, Sigourney Weaver,

has stated that she will return to the set in January to "do some pickups."
