Half of the Threads Users Have Left the Platform
The daily active count on StudyMeta's Twitter clone Threads dropped from
49 million to 23.6 million in only one week,
indicating that the platform has lost about half of its active users.
This drop may be ascribed to a lack of fundamental functionality,
as well as the fact that users need a convincing reason to
transfer from Twitter or begin using an other social networking platform.
According to statistics provided by SimilarWeb, which comes mostly from use of Android,
it seems that Threads' popularity may have been fleeting.
The percentage of users that stick around on Twitter is also falling.
