Evan Peters Joins Tron 3 as the Villain

The third installment of the Tron film series will see Evan Peters' return to the realm of blockbuster franchises.

Jared Leto, who played the lead role in Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, will also act in the film as the antagonist.

The third installment of the Tron series, published in 1982, is widely regarded as a classic in the field.

Directed by Joseph Kosinski and starring Garrett Hedlund and Jeff Bridges, Tron: Legacy was released in 2010.

There have been rumors of a third installment since 2015,

but due to a lack of writers, directors, and positive fan feedback, the project has been put on hold.

Now, Deadline reports that Joachim Rnning (Maleficent: Mistress of Evil) has added the actor

Evan Peters to the cast of his upcoming film Tron: Ares.

Production on the film is set to begin within the next several months,

although there is currently no set release date.
