HOLLYWOOD NEWS DESK - Former 'Dancing With the Stars' contestants Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert tied the knot on Saturday, PEOPLE reports.

The couple tied the knot on Saturday in Monterey County, California, in front of 106 guests. "We're in a redwood forest, but we got married right in front of this mother tree that's surrounded by all these little trees," Erbert told People. They drop all the seeds and saplings like an army of kids to protect the mother.

Its symbolism was beautiful. We are here, planting the seeds to grow our family." The event kicked off Thursday with a welcome party at a stunning cliffside property in Carmel, which was hosted by Erbert with the help of Simply Troy Lifestyle Events.

It's one of the most beautiful sites, Huff said. He said: "It's like a fairy tale." The next day, the couple hosted a rehearsal dinner in the garden with family, friends, and the wedding party. The bride and groom exchanged heartfelt vows during their emotional wedding, which was officiated by Hough's brother.

Father-in-law Erbert wore a custom Marchesa Duchess satin gown with a long veil, blush and jewels. Erbert praised her outfit, describing it as "very classic, timeless". Hough wore a black suit for the reception and another black suit for the wedding.

Several of the couple's celebrity friends were on hand to celebrate the couple's big day, including Julianne Hough, Jenna Johnson, Freida Pinto, Amy Purdy, Maria Menounos,

Shawn Johnson, Nina Dobrev, Shaun White, Robert and Kim Herjavec, and Alfonso were involved. The newlyweds, who got engaged in June last year, performed their first dance to Forrest Black's 'Fall Into Me' on an antique mirror floor.

Later the honeymoon will be in Italy. Hough told People: "We never went. I mean, I went to a competition, but that was it. We've never really experienced it properly. So it's really cool because It's a place we're going.

We have the chance to experience it together for the first time. And we are reaching everywhere, from Lake Como, Positano, the Amalfi Coast, Rome, Tuscany and Florence. We are reaching everything."
